Best trailer imo from 2010, this leads from my post below of the Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros reblog. I still need to see this movie…
Home - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have a very special quality to them, their music is both refreshingly new but also very nostalgic. First off any song that starts with whistling automatically captures my attention and I’m immediately fully immersed in the music. Secondly this song is very reminiscent of Johnny and June Carter Cash’s duet days…
If you go through the link, there is a full description on Ariel’s blog. I wanted to reblog this post since I figured out what song was towards the end of the Cyrus (2010) trailer, thanks to Ariel. I’ll post the trailer now, great song btw…I should listen to them more in 2011. Also, I thought Ariel’s description of the song was spot on, honest, and not pretentious. Good stuff all around.

Neko Case - People Got A Lotta Nerve
this is a test post, i am in love her with (that wasn’t a test post)
This past Friday I was g-chatting with a long time friend who lives out in LA. The short version of this quick note is that our online conversation lead to me booking a weekend flight out to the west coast for his birthday. Should be epic, but I’m sleepy now and must get some rest…writing this like, on my personal blog, puts a mental image into my head of me speaking to a concert hall, an empty concert hall. Ya know, since no one is following me right now. I’m psyched for the LA trip though folks, this trip is the impetus really for creating my own tumblr in the first place…
So I took this photo with my iPhone 3GS in the fall of 2010. Did a quick “edit” using Adobe Photoshop for the iOS. I know it’s slightly off-center, but I like how it “pops” with brightness. This was during my weekend runs through the villages of nyc, pic was taken on the Houston St median.
Multiple people at work have told me I sort of look like the “great” Nick Cage, I still can’t see the resemblance. Then once on a date, this women, she told me I look like Nick…except a more handsome version. I just smiled and drank my Ommegang. Note to the interwebs, I thought his performance in Matchstick Men was great.
